Globosome
Andreas Feix

As stereoscopic 3D continues to grow in the film business, there's no doubt that the next generation of filmmakers needs to prepare itself well and learn the techniques... but how?

This presentation provides a small insight into Sascha Geddert's Globosome, a 3D animated graduation project of the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. It will focus on the development, the challenges and some of the solutions in the project's stereoscopic workflow.

Curriculum Vitae

Since the early days of animating toys with stop-motion at the age of 13, Andreas Feix has worked as a vfx artist on a multitude of commercial, student and feature film projects, with a large variety of digital FX tasks. After completing an internship at Unexpected Gmbh in Stuttgart, he began studying as a visual effects & animation student at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in October 2009, focusing both on VFX compositing and 3D generalist work.

Notable recent projects include the festival trailer Lindwurm for the ITFS 2012, the stereo work in Sascha Geddert's Globosome (which was presented as the FMX Conference's trailer this year) as well as the both upcoming feature Bela Kiss & the fan film Threads of Destiny.
