Juri Stanossek worked on the Academy Award winning Movie “Hugo Cabret”, as a division visual effect supervisor in Stuttgart. He will give an overview about the effects and the work flow. He will show several „Making of shots“ and explain the technical and artistic challenges.

Curriculum Vitae

Juri Stanossek started his cinematic career in 1994 in Mannheim with a two-year traineeship. He had first contacts with 3D and visual effect in the industrial film sector before he started working as a digital artist and compositor.

The first movie project was 'The Second Jungle Book: Mowgli & Baloo' (1997), where he worked as digital composer. Juri has been visual effects supervisor since 1999 In between he switched to the advertising sector and directed a character department, where he co-developed 'Mr. Proper' world wide brand icon amongst other things.

Back in the movie sector again, he worked on movies like 'A Sound Of Thunder' (2002) , 'The Biggest Step' (2002) a.o.

Since 2004 Juri Stanossek was employed at Elektrofilm as a visual effects supervisor. In this time he worked on about 20 film and tv productions, such as 'Don't Come Knocking' (2005), 'Tornado – der Zorn des Himmels' (TV production, 2006), and 'Max Minsky und Ich' (2007).

Since 2008 he is working as a VFX Supervisor at Pixomondo Stuttgart and has managed shows like ,Crashpoint‘ (TV, 2009), ,Teufelskicker‘ (feature film, 2010), ,Ghost writer‘ (Roman Polanski, feature film, 2010), ,Sucker Punch‘ (Zack Snyder, feature film,2011), ,Hindenburg‘ (Teamworx, deutscher Filmpreis), ,Hugo’ (Martin Scorsese, awardwinning VFX) and most recently the complete VFX for season 2 of ,Game of Thrones’ (HBO).
