3D-Symposium 2012 3D-Festival 2011

Program

3D Symposium BEYOND's programme assembles 6 different subject areas that define 3D arts and crafts development.
3D is particularly known in Cinema and meanwhile it is also entering TV. BEYOND is going to shift the attention on this topic, with priority to storytelling and focusing on how to thoroughly utilise potentials.
In addition, 3D gains relevance in a much wider range these days. Not just in areas of art and science, but also in education and nurturing, there are unknown chances of benefit that just recently have been discovered.

The programme is also available as an iCal-Calendar.

Due to the international speakers and participants all lectures will be in english!

„We have to relearn our craft“

The development in increasing complexity and connectivity seems to propose that 3D technologies are going to become the leading technologies of entertainment, art and science in not so distance future.
Professionals that know how to handle these technologies are going to be needed within short terms, the ones that are not just able to use new tools, but are also aware of its additional value and capable to comprehend future enhancements already at the current point.
What is being done? What is to be done? How can new, unusual alliances help to create a multidimensional educational system?

„ A window to the world“

In 2014, as predications are being made, 25% of TV and Computer terminals of the industry nations are assessed to be 3D capable.

Opponent to this development, there is a terrible lack of appropriate content. First timid tries to generate this new content for 3D-TV are currently being made. As eyewear-3D will remain event-based, in the end of the decade autoscopy will have enforced the trend of space-in-space in living rooms and working bureaus.

Now is exactly the right time for “effect autors.”

„ A future that already had begun“

Applying 3D technologies can especially help in specific areas of science and research with highly complex data, where both complex facts and circumstances need to be depicted comprehensibly and intuitively. For this matter, proabilities need to be grossed up as well as improbabilities need to be grossed down.

Simultaniously, mistakes - individual ones as well as evolutionary ones- need to be minimized.
