Curriculum Vitae

Karlheinz Gelhardt was born in Germany, Birkenau in the year 1951. He pursued an educational training as a photographer and camera-operator and worked for “Südwestfunk” and “ZDF” among others, furthermore he was chef camera operator at the RNF Studios in Mannheim. In 19986, he established “Filmproduction Gelhardt” that realizes TV- and industry films. First honors were rewarded already in 1990 with the summa cum laude gold-medal. In 1996, a first HDTV video production followed up, as well as two awards for „Wissen ist Zukunft“ (“Knowledge is Future”) and „Stau aus dem Nichts“ (“Traffic out of Nowhere”) for Daimler Benz AG, however followed by further international rewards. Karlheinz Gelhardts new firm MediLive was established in 1994 and was specialized in medical live broadcasts and yet until now maintained successful. MediLive accomplished the first 3D live broadcast in 1994 with their project “OP 2000”.

A year later, the 3D video production “Bewegung im Raum” (Movement in Space) was executed for Deutsche Telekom. Next to the accomplishment of the EUREKA project ADTT at the IBC Amsterdam in 1998 and the demonstration of 3D and HDTV live broadcast „Video Communications for the Future“, Filmproduction Gelhardt has realized different 3D projects for the industry and the medicine sector. In the new company Invistra GmbH, special 3D products are being developed and marketed. The Invistra 3D Multi Converter, which is a central tool for 3D video and live productions, as well as the Invistra flagship trivido.com, a 3D video portal that makes stereoscopic content available to all internet users. trivido.com is going to be presented to the public for the first time as part of 3D BEYOND symposium.
